Poudre Sustainable Design School Under Construction

Zach Elementary School Zach Elementary School is nearing completion in Fort Collins. The new school is the result of a sustainable design process.

The school uses many recycled products including the siding used on the exterior walls, the carpet, cabinets and more. The list of recycled products is available on their website. The school followed the district's sustainable design guidelines and has many innovative features such as daylighting, daylighting controls, CO2 sensors for ventilation, thermal ice storage and a gas-fired backup generator.
